BK8 KYC and AML Policy
KYC means knowing who holds an account. AML means preventing an account from being used to move money that came from somewhere it should not have. Both are obligations that come with an operating licence, and both apply to every account on BK8 Malaysia. This document explains when checks happen, what is asked for and what it means for a payout.
When Verification Is Required
Nothing is uploaded when an account is created. Verification is requested later, and in practice there are two moments when it happens.
The first and most common is a withdrawal. Before funds are released the operator may ask you to confirm who you are and that the receiving account belongs to you. The second is an account review, which can be triggered by an internal check rather than by anything you did.
Requests are made by the platform and handled case by case, so there is no fixed threshold published for when they occur. Sending the documents promptly is what keeps a payout moving. The methods themselves are described on the BK8 deposit page.
Documents You May Be Asked For
Two items are requested, and both are ordinary:
- A copy of a photo identity document. The photograph, the full name and the document details have to be legible.
- A copy of a bank statement for the receiving account. It must show the account number and the name of the account holder. The balance may be covered before you send it.
Practical points that avoid a second request: photograph or scan the whole document with all four corners visible, keep the image in focus and free of glare, and do not crop or edit anything other than the balance on a statement.
The name on both documents has to match the name on your profile. If your registration used a shortened form or a nickname, contact support before submitting rather than sending a mismatched pair.
Why the Names Must Match
Withdrawals are paid only to a bank account registered in the name of the account holder. Payments from or to third parties are not processed.
This is the rule players most often run into, and it is worth understanding rather than working around. It is what stops someone who gains access to your account from sending the balance to their own bank account, and it is a standard requirement of anti-money laundering practice, where funds have to be traceable to the person who owns them.
A withdrawal request naming a spouse, a parent or a friend as the account holder will be declined even though nothing dishonest was intended. The way to avoid it is to keep the profile name, the identity document and the bank account in one name from the start.
Anti-Money Laundering Principles
- Account activity is monitored for patterns that do not fit ordinary play.
- Where activity is unusual, the operator may ask you to explain the origin of the funds involved.
- Operations on an account may be limited while such a check is completed.
- An account may not be used to move funds belonging to another person, whether by depositing on their behalf or withdrawing to them.
- Where a check cannot be completed, the operator may keep restrictions in place until the matter is resolved.
These principles follow from the operating licence held by Mettlemind Tech Ltd. under number ALSI-202504032-FI2.
Account Restrictions During Checks
While a verification or review is in progress, a withdrawal request can sit pending and some operations on the account may be limited temporarily.
This is not a penalty and it does not mean the account is closed. It means a step has not finished. No fixed timescale is published, because it depends on what was requested and on how quickly the documents arrive.
The status of your own case is visible to support, so LiveChat is the place to ask rather than guessing from the account screen. Contact routes are on the BK8 customer service page.
Player Responsibilities
- Provide accurate details at registration, and use your real full name as it appears on your documents.
- Hold one account only. Additional accounts are not permitted.
- Do not give account access to anyone else, and do not use an account that belongs to another person.
- Keep contact details current, since verification requests and account notices go to them.
- Play only if you are 18 or older.
The full agreement covering account use is on the terms and conditions page.
Data Protection During Verification
Documents sent for verification are used for that check and for the obligations attached to the licence. They are not published, not shown to other players and not used for marketing.
Access is limited to staff who need it to complete the review. How long records of this type are kept depends on the obligations that apply to them, so ask support if you need the position for your own account.
Wider handling of personal data is described on the privacy policy page.
