BK8 Cookies Policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser and reads again on your next visit. They are what keeps you signed in between pages, what remembers a setting you chose, and what allows a site to see which sections people actually use. This document describes how they are used on BK8 Malaysia and what you can do about them.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a short text file. The site writes it, the browser stores it, and the site reads it back on the next request. That is the whole mechanism.
They divide by lifetime into two kinds. A session cookie exists only while the browser session lasts and disappears when it ends. A persistent cookie stays until it expires or until you delete it, which is what lets a preference survive a closed tab.
What a cookie cannot do is run a program, read files on your device or access anything outside the browser. It stores a value and hands it back to the site that set it.
Categories of Cookies We Use
Four categories are in use, and only one of them is required for the platform to work at all.
| Category | Purpose | Can be disabled |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeping you signed in, securing the session, protecting the registration form | No, the account will not work |
| Preferences | Remembering language and sections you selected earlier | Yes, settings will reset each visit |
| Analytics | Understanding how players move through the site | Yes |
| Marketing | Making promotional content more relevant | Yes |
Essential cookies are the ones behind sign-in and the security check on the registration form. Turning them off does not make the site more private, it makes the account unusable.
Cookies and Your Account
After you sign in, a cookie is what holds the session open as you move between the cashier, the lobby and the Transfer page. Without it every page would ask for the password again.
That has one practical consequence on a shared or borrowed device. Closing the tab does not end the session, because the cookie is still there. Use the sign-out option instead, which clears it properly.
Sign-in details and account security habits are covered on the BK8 login page.
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Control over cookies sits in the browser, not on the site. Every modern browser allows you to:
- view and delete the cookies stored for a particular site
- block cookies entirely, or block only those set by third parties
- clear everything automatically when the browser closes
- browse in a private window, where cookies are discarded at the end of the session
The settings live under privacy or site data, and the exact wording varies between browsers and versions, so use the built-in search in the settings screen rather than following a fixed path.
One warning before you change anything: blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and stop parts of the platform from working. Blocking analytics and marketing cookies does not affect gameplay.
Third-Party Cookies
Not every cookie you receive on the site is set by the site itself. Game providers set their own when a title is launched from their wallet, and embedded content can do the same.
Those files are governed by the policies of the companies that set them rather than by this document, and they are also the category most browsers let you block separately without affecting sign-in.
How player data more broadly is handled is described on the privacy policy page.
Updates to This Policy
This document may be revised, and the version published on the site is the one in force. Changes usually follow a change in how the platform works rather than a change in policy.
Questions about cookies or about anything else in this document are answered through LiveChat, which is open around the clock, or through Telegram. Contact routes are on the BK8 customer service page.
This document is a draft prepared for review by a qualified legal adviser before publication.
